Day two of the GX94-Fox FM “Airwaves for Health” Radiothon did really well, raising over 67 thousand dollars, for upgrades to the central monitoring system.
And another 5 thousand is expected from the Yorkton Co-op from their “fill up for the health fund event”, where they donate 5 cents from every litre of gas sold at their gas bars in the city.
Notable donations today came from Jason Farrell, who gave a thousand dollar cheque, on behalf of Farrell Agencies, 3 thousand from Curtis Loucks of Loucks Pharmacy, 15 hundred dollars courtesy of Jeff Bahry on behalf of Investors Group in Yorkton, the Kinsmen Club in Yorkton gave 2 thousand, and Jim Pollock from Duck Mountain Ambulance presented a thousand dollar cheque.
New equipment for the Yorkton Regional Health Centre’s ICU is where the money raised from the Radiothon will go towards.
The final total is expected to be announced tomorrow morning.
