Kevin Clark (Winnipeg, Man./Brynäs IF, SHL) found the back of the net twice and Nick Petersen (Wakefield, Que./Eisbären Berlin, DEL) assisted on both goals to lead Canada’s National Men’s Team to a 3-1 win against Germany on Sunday.
With the winning effort, Canada finished the 2016 Deutschland Cup in second place following the three-day round-robin tournament in which it had two wins, and one shootout loss to first place Slovakia.
Clark opened the scoring just over five minutes into the game with the help of Petersen.
Canada would add two more goals to its early lead before the end of the first period, beginning with the second goal in as many games for Derek Roy (Rockland, Ont./OMSK Avangard, KHL) at 17:24.
