An investment of 23 million dollars has been made towards the upgrade of a hospital’s emergency room.
The Manitoba government sent the money to Dauphin, as part of their review of several capital projects in the province.
Dauphin’s project is expected to start this spring, and will consist of 2 phases.
Phase one is creating a temporary ER on the main floor.
Phase two is renovating and expanding the original location to include a resuscitation and trauma room, an enclosed ambulance garage, among other spaces.
