Tomorrow (Wed), public sector workers and concerned citizens from Yorkton and Melville will be travelling to Regina for a Rally for Saskatchewan.
The rally will focus on a fight back against cuts and the SaskParty government’s misplaced priorities.
Buses will leave the Gallagher Centre parking lot at 8AM and stop for a pickup in Melville at the Extra Foods on Halifax Avenue along the way.
The rally will take place at the Regina Legislative Grounds at noon.
In the Yorkton area, local jobs were lost with the privatization of laundry services, and further implications for health care staffing and the future of Good Spirit School Division are questionable.
In addition, local building cleaners face layoffs if the government goes ahead with contracting out of their jobs.
