A former principal of Yorkton’s Sacred Heart High School, has pleaded guilty to six counts of professional misconduct.
56-year-old Trent Senger appeared before the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board in Regina by telephone this (Tue) morning.
The guilty pleas included falsifying a student’s transcript, not holding the required number of fire drills, and belittling colleagues and school community members.
The professional conduct committee’s lawyer and Senger agreed to a 4-year suspension of his teaching certificate, but the discipline committee rejected it, saying it seemed too high.
It will issue a written decision on the penalty in due course.
