A GoFundMe page that had raised more than 20-thousand dollars for a nurse, who was fined 26-thousand, was taken down by the website of the same name.
The page was set up by a nurse in Montreal.
According to Carolyn Strom’s lawyer Marcus Davies, someone reported the page for alleged support of “illegal activity”.
But according to a spokesperson the page was online an hour after being initially shut down, because they wanted to ensure it followed their terms of service.
Strom was fined that amount after taking to social media to criticize the care her grandfather received at a facility in Macklin in 2015.
