One man’s loss is another man’s gain as the saying goes, and when it comes to the STC routes that certainly applies.
Carpe Diem, a Regina-based limo company, has applied to the Highway Transportation Board to take all of the routes of the Saskatchewan Transportation Company.
The company believes they can make the routes work, despite some being unused and unprofitable.
Carpe Diem also says they will be starting talks with businesses and regional libraries who used STC, to see what kind of an agreement can be reached.
In the provincial budget STC was one of the items chopped due to high costs and low ridership.
