Two boys arrested in connection with the death of a 67-year-old man in Yorkton last summer, have pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder.
They were originally charged with First Degree Murder and Robbery with Violence in the death of Lawrence Skoretz, and their Preliminary Inquiry was scheduled to begin this (Wed) morning.
The 17-year-old from Yorkton and the 17-year-old from the Keeseekoose First Nation can’t be named, due to their ages.
Police believe the victim and the boys interacted at a park in the city in the early morning hours of September 13th.
Their matters have been adjourned until May 23rd to set a date for a hearing to determine if the boys should be sentenced as adults.
