The matters for a former Saskatchewan Roughrider charged with domestic violence is moving quicker than most cases with such charges.
The lawyer for Justin Cox, who pleaded not guilty on behalf of his client as he wasn’t in court today (Thurs), cited a lack of employment as the reason for the hasty move to a trial.
The trial is set for May 29th.
Back on April 18th, Cox was arrested after police found a 23-year-old woman with injuries consistent with a physical attack, in a Regina home.
Cox was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
