Whether you were for or against the shutdown of the Saskatchewan Transportation Company, it is going to happen this Wednesday.
The last STC bus on a provincial road will be the P.A. to Hudson Bay route arriving at 11:30 p.m.
After that the dissolution of the Crown will start on Thursday, with buses heading to terminals in Regina and Saskatoon to be prepped for sale.
That same day 98 workers, who are mostly drivers and some administration staff, will be unemployed.
The other 117 will either help with the dissolution, or maintain the Regina and Saskatoon bus depots which will serve Greyhound customers until the fall.
The Saskatchewan government announced in March that the Crown would be cut from the provincial budget, because of the $85 million dollars in subsidies it needs over 5 years to keep it going.
