Monday afternoon Yorkton Municipal RCMP received a complaint of threats directed towards a female student via social media by an adult female who doesn’t live in Yorkton.
The threat was received over the weekend and reported to police Monday.
The Yorkton Regional High School initiated their safety procedures and a hold and secure was enacted as a precaution until the end of the day.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, 18-year-old Monica Tataquason is charged with two counts of uttering threats.
It has not yet been confirmed but Monica may be in the Regina area and there is a warrant issued for her arrest.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact their local police service or RCMP detachment.
