The Saskatchewan Roughriders will open up their 2017 CFL preseason on Saturday night when they host the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The game will also be the first game for the green and white at the new Mosaic Stadium.
There is a few need-to-knows about Saturdays game:
–The game will not be televised but you can catch the game on GX94 with Cooperators Roughriders football, pregame 6PM, play by play gets going at 7PM.
— It’s the last test event at the new stadium, so you’re asked to ARRIVE EARLIER than you would’ve before to check out the new features, new lounge, new store and much more in the brand-new stadium
— Traffic around the new Mosaic Stadium will be restricted to City Transit and taxis only prior to the game.
(Elphinstone Street will be closed between Saskatchewan Drive and Dewdney Avenue)
–You’re encouraged to leave the vehicle at home and take the FREE Rider Transit (if you show your game ticket) presented by Worksafe Saskatchewan.
**(Transit pickups begin at 5PM from Victoria Square Mall, Norman View Crossing, Southland Mall, Northgate Mall, Delta Hotel and Victoria Park)
— For this first preseason game (June 10th) only, there will NOT be a Party at the Practice field as a new event “The Coors Light Party in the Park” will be featured starting on the July 1st home opener vs. the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
