A trial date has been set for a Louisiana man who pleaded not guilty to the charge of 2nd-degree murder.
The trial for Ronald Gasser is scheduled for August 7th.
Gasser is accused of killing former Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Joe McKnight back on December 1st.
Police in New Orleans said Gasser and McKnight were yelling at each other while driving erratically over a Mississippi River bridge.
McKnight then went out to confront Gasser, who was still in his car, before Gasser allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the 28-year-old 3 times.
