The second suspect charged in connection with a violent home invasion in Yorkton in 2015, has been committed to stand trial.
19-year-old Jesse McDowell of Yorkton was in Provincial Court today (Tue) for his Preliminary Hearing, where he elected to be tried by Queen’s Bench judge alone.
His co-accused, 24-year-old Nathan Ortynsky, admitted his guilt in January, and was sentenced to over 10 years in prison.
In October of 2015, two males wearing masks and brandishing weapons, entered the home of Keith and Bridgette Washenfelder.
The elderly residents were tied up, beaten, and robbed.
