If you have a salesperson from True North Home Solutions trying to sell you a furnace or HVAC equipment, turn down the offer.
According to an email sent to GX94 News, the Ontario-based company uses high-pressure sales tactics to get people into expensive contracts, and not following through on the services they provide.
The email also went on to state that the company usually targets elderly people.
One such incident occurred back in August when a Saskatoon resident was locked into a decade-long contract, and the heater sold was installed dangerously.
That resident also had to pay a lien of over $94-hundred dollars as a result.
The individual who installed it refused to provide a permit or identity.
Around that same time the Better Business Bureau of Saskatchewan issued a consumer alert on True North, as they were not a B-B-B Accredited Business.
According to the True North Home Solutions website, they have offices in Concord, Ontario, Regina, Saskatchewan, and Edmonton, Alberta.
