August’s Traffic Safety Spotlight for SGI is once again impaired driving, and this morning they kicked that off early with a new campaign called “Be a Good Wingman: Don’t Let Impaired Friends Drive”
The campaign challenges Saskatchewan people to do the right thing and stop friends from getting behind the wheel when they’re impaired.
Minister Responsible Joe Hargrave says in the end a few minutes of being uncomfortable is much easier than a lifetime of regret.
Saskatchewan continues to have an impaired driving problem, in 2016 54 people were killed and 456 were injured in more than 1,000 accidents involving drugs or alcohol.
A new commercial that will run both on T.V and radio was revealed as well.
