Two men from Swan River have been charged following a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway last Wednesday (27th) .
Headingley RCMP discovered the van they pulled over, in the RM of Headingley, had licence plates that didn’t match the description of the vehicle, and the driver of the van was prohibited from driving.
A search of the van also turned up copper wire.
The driver, 51-year-old Daniel Panko, and the passenger, 36-year-old William Beaulieu, were charged with possession of property obtained by crime,
Panko was also charged with driving while prohibited and remains in custody; Beaulieu was released pending a court date.
