One of two suspects charged in connection to a human smuggling ring in Canada and the United States has been sentenced.
Victor Omoruyi of Regina was given 6-months in prison, on top of the 4 months he has currently served.
His wife, and co-accused, Michelle Omoruyi, is to appear in Estevan court next Monday (14th).
It stems from an arrest made in April, when Victor was also charged after he was caught trying to transport 9 Nigerian asylum seekers to the Canadian border.
Michelle was also arrested and charged, after it was allegedly discovered she had 9 people in her vehicle on the Canadian side of the border.
