The RCMP would like to remind the public to be aware of numerous mail, text, internet and telephone scams that occur each year.
Most recently, on August 14th, the Roblin RCMP Detachment received complaints that an individual was going door to door in the community posing as a driveway paving business owner
He then tried to sell the residents a driveway sealing product.
It was quickly discovered that the suspect did not have a business license to operate in the community and the fraudster was applying a thin paint or substance that deteriorated very quickly and could be easily washed off.
Roblin RCMP continue to investigate this scam and are asking anyone in the community who may have been affected to contact the detachment at 204-937-8054.
