Doherty says it doesn’t have to be tabled by the end of August, but they would like to have it done as soon as possible.
Saskatchewan Party members in good standing have until August 28th to make their decision on throwing their name into the hat for the premiership and lead the party.
Social Services Minister Tina Beaudry-Mellor is the first to announce her intention to run, while Justice Minister Gord Wyant, Parks Minister Ken Cheveldayoff and Health Minister Jim Reiter are seriously considering.
Last week Brad Wall announced he is retiring from politics after 10 years as Premier of Saskatchewan, but will stay on until a successor has been chosen.
