A preliminary hearing date has been set for a Saskatchewan man facing 9 charges in connection to a July Amber Alert in Prince Albert.
19-year-old Jared Charles, who faces offences that include kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated sexual assault, will be in P.A. Provincial Court November 27th.
An amber alert was issued by Prince Albert police after a girl disappeared from a playground.
The girl was eventually located at a farm, over an hour after the alert was issued, just outside the city.
The accused was arrested shortly after the girl was found.
This isn’t the first time the accused has had a run-in with the law.
He was charged with 2 counts of abduction last year when 2 boys were the subjects of an Amber Alert in La Ronge.
Charles and the boys were later found in St. Louis. He had also been under a court order to have no contact with children under 16 without a parent present.
