Some impressive crop yields highlight Manitoba Agriculture’s weekly crop report.
Crop Specialist Anne Kirk says winter wheat yields have been as high as 80 bushels an acre, fall rye up to 110 bushels an acre and hard red spring wheat up to 95 bushels an acre.
Kirk says the cereal and pea harvest is complete in most areas of the province. Harvest continues in spring cereals and canola.
She says farmers in many parts of the province have made a lot of headway with harvest but for others, such as in the east, it has been a little slow due to some rainfall.
