It could be tomorrow before the smoke we’ve been getting in the Parkland and other areas clears.
Terri Lang at the weather office says most of it is coming from those northern Saskatchewan wildfires.
“It has to do with the way the upper air winds are swirling, and that’s bringing it in,” Lang explained. “There still is a contribution from all the fires burning in B.C. as well.”
An air quality statement has been issued for areas including Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, Foam Lake, Fort Qu’Appelle, Indian Head and Balcarres because of the smoke.
