An independent committee established by the Saskatchewan NDP is in the midst of conducting two reviews.
Interim NDP leader Nicole Sarauer says one is with respect to alleged sexual harassment and the other is how the party responded to those allegations. None of the claims have been verified.
Rylee Shuhmacher, the complainant, claims to have been harassed by a former NDP candidate while working as a volunteer. Then last month she went to the Saskatoon police to complain about an alleged sexual assault.
Police confirmed the complaint was made in September and are investigating.
Shuhmacher also claims to have complained to high-ranking NDP members, but no further action was taken.
