The Yorkton Business Improvement District has unveiled its outdoor seating project at the Gallagher Centre.
Y-BID Co-chair Mervin Laird says they funded the 35-thousand project. Laird notes the plaque and chairs will be removed for the winter, but will be re-installed in the spring.
Yorkton Mayor Bob Maloney thanked the organization for their contributions to the community.
“Y-BID is always so good at finding a need and fixing it,” Maloney said. “So we really congratulate them on the seating area in front of the Gallagher Centre.”
The plaque and its stand, were built by Gene Denischuk.
