There were 240 people who attended the 22nd annual Health Foundation Gala this past weekend.
This year’s theme for the gala was “Northern Lights”, and it proved to be a successful night.
Of the $37-thousand 6-hundred dollars that was raised, Ross Fisher from the Health Foundation says a third of that, about $13-thousand 130, came from the silent auction.
$2-thousand 40 dollars was raised from a raffle and the remaining amount from ticket sales.
These funds will be allocated to a new surgical microscope for the Regional Hospital in Yorkton.
Over 22 years, the gala has raised just over $600-thousand dollars, all of which has been used to buy medical equipment for the Sunrise Health Region.
