A mysterious death in Melville is still considered unsolved. It was 9 years ago today that 49 year old Rodney Gehring was found dying on a street. The former Goodeve Mayor was discovered unconscious on the meridian of the 200-block of 4th Avenue West in Melville, suffering from a wound to the back of his head. He later died in hospital from what was determined to be blunt force trauma.
