The Yorkton Branch of Cornerstone Credit Union has stepped up to the plate with a financial donation to the Health Foundation.
On Friday (1st), the bank donated $5-thousand dollars, which Cornerstone Credit Union CEO Doug Jones says will go towards a new surgical microscope.
“Community is a big part of who we are at Cornerstone,” Jones said. “Health care is something that every citizen in our community and every member of our Credit Union needs and it’s a vital service that our community provides.”
In a news release the Executive Director of the Health Foundation, Ross Fisher, says Cornerstone Credit Union “are a key supporter of our work and have helped us to expand and enhance the healthcare available in this region.”
The microscope, once bought, will be used at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre to continue cataract surgery at the hospital.
