The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train made its first-ever stop in Yorkton today (MON), bringing Christmas cheer, great music, and support for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Regina-born blues artist Colin James entertained the crowd, along with Toronto singer/songwriter Emma Lee, and James says it’s fantastic to be a part of the tour, especially when it supports such a worthy cause.
He also says making the cross-country trip aboard the train has been a unique experience.
In addition to a four-thousand dollar cheque from C.P. Rail, the Salvation Army was on hand, accepting cash donations and non-perishable food items, from the public, to help those in need this holiday season.
