The File Hills Police Service and Indian Head RCMP responded to a 911 call of shots being fired at a Carry the Kettle First Nation home on Sunday (3rd).
It’s alleged that 41-year-old Aaron Toby Thomson was armed with a 303 calibre rifle while yelling death threats at a man inside a home before firing a shot near the man’s feet.
Police say bystanders were able to get the gun away from the suspect who was in the midst of reloading, and the suspect fled the scene.
Authorities were able to locate and arrest the accused without incident.
Thomson is facing charges of assault, uttering threats and various weapons charges when he appears in Indian Head Provincial Court for a second time December 19th.
