2 Sombre Remembrances Are Being Held Today

28 years ago today, 14 women were murdered at Ecole Polytechnic in Montreal simply for being women. Many groups and organizations will come together today to recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action to End Violence Against Women.
It was 100 years ago today 2 ships..one carrying munitions..collided in Halifax harbour. The port city was devastated, and nearly 2 thousand people were killed. It was the largest man-made explosion until the atom bomb.
