Two Saskatchewan towns, a Saskatchewan R.M. and two Manitoba R.M.s are among the 71 communities receiving federal funding.
The funding is through three programs.
Under the Municipal Asset Management Program, the R.M. of Saltcoats is receiving over $25-thousand dollars, and the Town of Norquay $13-thousand for their respective Asset Management Plans.
The Town of Allan has been granted over $37-hundred for Asset Management Training.
Under the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program, the Manitoba Municipality of Rhineland is the beneficiary of nearly $116-thousand and the R.M. of Springfield more than $46-thousand.
The funding will be used for their respective Climate Change Adaptation plans.
