A man who was arrested in connection to an Amber Alert in Prince Albert last summer, has appeared in court.
Jarrod Charles pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexual assault, but pleaded not guilty to aggravated sexual assault.
He entered the pleas during a pre-trial conference on December 15, and a Gladue report has been requested.
A Gladue report examines an offender’s Indigenous background before a sentence is determined.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for February 23.
It was back in July, 2017 when an 8-year-old girl was abducted from a school playground. She was found an hour after the alert was issued, and the suspect was made shortly after.
