A dispute over banning licence plates, either in Saskatchewan or Alberta, is over.
Just before the two sides were set for arbitration under the New West Partnership, Alberta got a letter from Saskatchewan saying the latter was lifting it’s ban.
However no reason as to why Saskatchewan did it was given.
In early December, Saskatchewan implemented a ban on vehicles with Alberta plates on government work sites in what they claimed was in response to similar actions by their western neighbour.
But the Sask. Party government never offered any evidence to back up it’s claims.
