Progress is being made in Swan River, as town officials continue dealing with a water shortage.
Deputy mayor Lance Jacobsen says levels in the reservoir are rising, but still critically low after a problem in wells supplying the treatment plant meant a pressure drop in the system…
“We are making significant progress in replenishing the reservoir with safe potable water or safe treated water. There is still no boil water advisory, so we’re good there and we’ve been very luck in that way.” stated Jacobsen.
However, residents are being urged to conserve water, and distribution of free bottled water continues to be held at the high school trade building.
