It’s jail time for a Winnipeg man, who was drunk and speeding when he hit the ditch near Moosomin.
Court was told that 51-year-old John Bailey was driving at 150-kilometres per hour on the Trans-Canada Highway last Friday, when he lost control of his vehicle.
Some off-duty Moosomin RCMP officers witnessed it, and they noticed he was intoxicated when they went to check on him.
In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Fri) morning, Bailey pleaded guilty to Impaired Driving and Dangerous Driving.
He was sentenced to 6 months in jail, and was given a 2-year driving prohibition.
