Nutrien’s Vice-President says 8 employees at its corporate office in Saskatoon are being let go in the next few weeks.
Richard Downey also says another 25 will be cut by the end of this year. None of the affected workers have not been notified yet.
While overlap from the merger between PotashCorp and Agrium resulted in the cuts, Downey says it also created a net increase of 100 new jobs in Saskatchewan.
There are roughly 45-hundred employees in the province.
