The SaskParty government and the NDP are battling over the issue of a federal carbon tax.
Opposition leader Ryan Meili accuses the Moe government of embarking on a pointless costly crusade to fight Ottawa in court over a proposed carbon tax.
“This government stubbornly appears to be running head long into a futile course of action instead of coming up with a made in Saskatchewan solution that can improve the lives of people right here. Mr. Speaker, people of Saskatchewan deserve to know, is this government about to embark on a costly crusade, a pointless crusade?” questioned Meili.
Premier Scott Moe says the NDP is waving a white flag and willing to give in to a costly carbon tax, but his government is prepared to fight Ottawa over the issue.
