The Yorkton Business Improvement District hosted a appreciation lunch this afternoon for city crew workers who cleared snow during the recent snow fall.
Executive Director Phil DeVos says some form of appreciation was needed for all their hard work.
“Worked their tails off to get the snow off. In doing so, it allowed our business’ to stay open because some of them were barricaded with snow and people to get to town for doctors appointments and all kinds of services. As well as our business’ to get out cater to their clients.” stated DeVos.
DeVos adds it was the first time in the history of public works that this sort of event was held.
