A new 1.2 million dollar Sarcan Recycling Centre was officially celebrated this (Thurs) morning in Wynyard.
Town Mayor Albert Boylak explains what the new building means to the town.
“Well this is huge, you know to have a facility jointly shared with Sarcan and the Town of Wynyard. We are able to incorporate all the recycling from the Town of Wynyard and bring it to one facility. We have a lot of economic impact that happens with this. We have surrounding communities that bring their recycling to Wynyard, hence their shopping at our business’, using our restaurants, its great, its a great opportunity.” said Boylak.
One side of the facility is being used by Sarcan to recycle items like paint and electronics, while the other is where the Town of Wynyard has other household and commercial recycling.
