The City of Melville is hosting an archery competition for students in grades 4 to 12 today (Fri) and tomorrow (Sat), but they didn’t even plan on hosting it in the first place.
Humboldt was supposed to do it, but couldn’t as they are dealing with the tragic events of the Broncos bus crash.
Melville Mayor Walter Streelasky says they got a call from Humboldt on Monday, wondering if the Rail City could accommodate, which he said they could.
The competitions are at the Merv Moore Sports Plex and Melville Comprehensive School.
Streelasky says the attendance for the archery competitions has been good, despite the short notice.
