Debate in the Saskatchewan legislature centered on school disrepair and funding for education today.
NDP leader Ryan Meili raised the issue of Argyle School in Regina, saying parents are worried about the structure of the building.
“A school that’s been awaiting provincial government approval and funding for a new school for a decade. Marlene Jackson, chair of the Argyle School community council, understood that her daughter would be in Kindergarten in a new Argyle School, her daughter is now in Grade 5. “ said Meili.
Education minister Gordon Wyant says the province has made a record investment in school capital funding last year.
