Seeding is starting to ramp up around Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan Agriculture Crop Specialist Shannon Friesen reports seeding is a little behind normal for this time of year.
“From a provincial perspective, 9 percent of the crop is now in the ground. So that is behind the 5 year average of 19 percent but that should be of no surprise seeing how we’ve had a bit of a late start.” said Friesen.
Friesen says fifteen per cent is seeded in the southeast, while all other regions in the province are reporting three per cent seeded.
