A Yorkton man arrested in connection with a high speed chase last weekend, has been released from custody.
In Yorkton Provincial Court today (Fri), the judge ruled 19-year-old Colton LaBelle will reside at a home in the city under 24-hour house arrest, but he must return to court on June 13th.
A warrant for LaBelle’s arrest was issued on May 8th, following an altercation at Walmart in Yorkton.
He was spotted in the city last Saturday, and when Mounties tried to pull over the vehicle he was allegedly driving, a pursuit ensued.
The chase ended on Highway 52 west of Yorkton, when an S-U-V struck a police cruiser.
