A meeting has been set between the protest campers at the Legislature and members of the Saskatchewan government.
Both parties have agreed to meet on July 2nd in Fort Qu’appelle at the Treaty Four Signing grounds.
Camp spokeswoman Robyn Pitawanakwat says the government is sending a large contigent to this meeting.
“As far as we understand (Justice Minister) Don Morgan, (Minister of Social Services Paul) Merriman is going to be there, (Government Relations Minister Warren) Kaeding, (Minister of Central Services Ken) Cheveldayoff maybe, maybe not, and (Deputy Premier Gord) Wyant.” she listed.
Pitawanakwat says they plan to discuss a variety of issues with them.
“Child and family services issues, youth incarceration, investigations that seem to go cold or never investigated properly in the first place.” she said.
She says they’re open to more meetings with the government if that’s what’s needed.
