Federal officials have held their daily COVID-19 briefing in Ottawa.

Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam says there are now 9,017 cases reported since the pandemic hit Canada, with 105 deaths.

She says due to the curve in the epidemic, it will take time to determine when we hit the peak of infections, and the numbers start trending down.
