Craig Read
Craig Read - Afternoon News Anchor
Greetings, everyone! In case you were curious about your
friendly neighbourhood newscaster, here are some quick tidbits about me:--I grew up on a farm just outside of the tiny village of Conquest, Saskatchewan. For you trivia buffs, it's known as the "Caragana Capital of Canada"!--I love music. All music. More often than not, I'll be crankin' up all kinds of stuff, from the Rolling Stones, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King, to Tony Bennett, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, and
everything in between. I also play the trumpet, and I've been known to commandeer a mic and sing a little, too!--I'm a sports fanatic, and especially enjoy two things: cheering on the Green and White, and watching my Philadelphia Flyers pound their opponents into the ice! I'm also the newsroom's resident basketball expert, and one of my lifelong ambitions is to win
the Indianapolis 500!--Oh, and if you ever take a tour of our station on any given day, you'll be able to spot me by the giant Slurpee in my hand!
Cheers!
