It was Day 2 of the 2016 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup in Estevan on Sunday.
In the early game, Jesse Baird, Jeff Mallot, Tristan Thompson and Cale Makar all scored as the Brooks Bandits (1-0) opened up their WCC with a 4-2 win over the West Kelowna Warriors (1-1).
Brett Mennear and Quin Foreman scored for the Warriors who went 1/13 with the man advantage.
The Warriors have the day off on Monday before taking on the Portage Terriers tomorrow afternoon (Tues) while the Bandits play on Monday night at 7PM vs. the Melfort Mustangs.
In the late game on Sunday,
Brad Bowles scored twice to lead the Portage Terriers (2-0) to their 2nd straight win, 3-2 over the host Estevan Bruins (0-2) at Affinity Place.
Adam Wowryk had the other goal for the defending RBC Cup champion Terriers while Robby McLellan and Owen LaClare scored the first couple goals of the tournament for the Bruins.
The Bruins will go for their first victory on Tuesday night against the Melfort Mustangs.
