Father’s Day was spent with my family. We headed out to my parents in Abernethy. I always love going back to my hometown. There is a big part of me that misses living in a community of 200 people and I might be a bit high with that number. I was very fortunate to live across the street from the school yard and of coarse the boys wanted to go over to the park and play. I had to laugh, my wife was like your going to let them go by them selves? As she said this I started thinking of my days as a kid, we would wake up and head out on our bikes for the day checking in every few hours and nothing was wrong with that. Wow how times have changed. Now we don’t let our kids very far from sight. It’s sad really that it has come to this. I guess that is another really nice thing about living in a small town, you know everybody. As we went over to the park I noticed that someone has been fixing up the play equipment that has been there for years. Man the hours we spent playing on that stuff. It was so nice to see the TLC that has been put back in to the school yard. I know my kids can’t wait to go back to Grandma and Grandpa’s for a visit again.
