The sale of the port of Churchill and the rail line serving it is proceeding.
Omnitrax announced last fall that they had reached an agreement in principle to sell the assets to a Manitoba First Nation.
Hudson Bay Route Association Chair Elden Boon says an Omnitrax official was expected to speak at the Route Association’s summer board meeting in Swan River yesterday, but had to cancel.
Boon says they did send a memo indicating it would be business as usual at the port while the sale is finalized.
Boon says Omnitrax didn’t provide any new information on the sale of the port and the rail line.
